Lionel Messi has offered to give up his iconic No. 10 number with Barcelona, according to Sport. During the team's presentation this week, new signing Arda Turan, who can't play for Barca until January due to the team's transfer ban, said Messi offered him the number.
"When I got into the Turkish national team, I was wearing the number 14 because my father is a fan of [Johan] Cruyff, but my shirt number is not too important to me. I will decide in January," Turan said.
"Messi told me, 'If you want the 10, it's yours,'" Turan said.
It's hard to imagine Messi giving up the number, and it was probably just a case of him being nice.
